This weekend I figured out that the reason our collection of remotes have been gradually dying has not been that they are pieces of junk, which was my original theory. They have been dying because their batteries have been systematically cannibalized.

Cannibalized for what, you ask? That�s what I wondered, too. It wasn�t for anything of mine�If I needed batteries for anything, I still have two left in a walkman I don�t use.

So. What would my roommate need batteries for that she wouldn�t tell me about?

It�s one of those things that make you go hmm�two seconds before it makes you go I wish I hadn�t pictured that.
