Today I explained to my mechanic that he was going to take another look at the problems he didn't fix last week, and further explained that I wasn't going to pay him for it. And implied that I had somewhere else in mind to take the thing next. He didn't call me "little lady" this time.

Being assertive is almost as therapeutic as acceleration.
