Despite everything that anyone has ever told me, I still firmly believe that if I let any one person see everything that I am failing at, this moment as I write this--that person would want nothing more to do with me.

Which of my loved ones could I stand to lose? Better to keep it all silent or parceled out between them. Because at least then, I get to keep them.
