I remembered, cooking dinner for myself, that I don't like my eggs sunny side up. I like them with brown crusty bits along the edges. I like the yolks moist, maybe even oozy, but basically solid. Bacon, too; I do like it crunchy, but not quite so brittle that it snaps cleanly under the pressure of my teeth. Perfect bacon gives, just the slightest bit. And when you get right down to it, the ideal breakfast meat is sausage anyway.

He doesn't know.
