Some things aren't true until you say them...

Technology has a steep learning curve. Trying to teach yourself something, you spend days and days in a perpetual state of confusion and frustration until suddenly your thought patterns shift, it finally works, and it seems so obvious to you WHY it works that you can't remember what about it ever had you confused.

Then you turn around and try to teach it to someone else, who is not only confused but also scared of it. Now you have stacked learning curves: your student's, and your own attempt to remember the way you thought when you were still learning it. Meanwhile, the other twelve people in the class are busy accidentally frying hard drives and opening virus-ridden emails.

This is the less-than-lucrative career path that I have voluntarily chosen.

Sometimes I feel well-adjusted, but life is generally considerate enough to correct me in a fairly prompt manner.
