So far this week, I have watched seven hours of Law and Order, eight if you count the rerun I watched during the commercial breaks for Junkyard Wars. I did not mean to do it. It just happened. I resist addiction to other TV shows through the foolproof method of never remembering when they are on, but Law and Order is always on. You can't escape it.

Someday when I have my own place, I think maybe I will not have a TV. Or at least not cable.

Also, everyone I know is doing national novel writing month in November. I can feel the tide coming in but I am not quite ready to commit to the inevitable.

Certainly not until I figure out how not to watch Law and Order.
