I was sitting in my office with my new boss, who is filling in during the old one's sabbatical starting this month, even though the sabbatical itself started last semester. I was noticing how nice it was to have direction, a sounding-board, a partner again. I have never much enjoyed making decisions; I prefer coming to a consensus.

Although to be paralell, I should prefer "coming to consensuses."

consensi?

Anyway, in addition to valuing group consensus over autocratic decision, I enjoy playing with grammar.

This is why I never ask whether my thoughts entertain you people. I may not want to know.
