Some things aren't true until you say them...

So I've been reading this email list lately. They argue a lot, and for some reason I find it entertaining.

Ever notice that in language, especially written language, it's not the writer who defines their meaning, but the person responding, instead?

So many posts saying "Argh, why are you rewriting me?!"

Hee.

Added Note: If, like me, you tend to fidget when you sit for long periods of time, it is probably okay to wrap your laptops power cord around your big toe. After all, it gives your toe that unusual bumpy rubber texture, and this is fun to fiddle with, yes? And as an added bonus, it doesnt kill your extremities like rubber bands can do if they are too tight, and it isnt nearly as sticky as bubblegum can be (on fingers, not toes) if you play with that. Right. Um, if you do the thing with the laptop wire? Dont stand up until youve detangled self and laptop.

Much toe-wrenching will be avoided, and you wont have to waste the adrenaline needed to catch the computer.
